WRITER || DIRECTOR

Gianinni Semedo Moreira is an award-winning writer, director, and producer based in Los Angeles.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, he began his career in the performing arts before moving into film. After training at CODARTS (a prestigious international university of the arts) and appearing on So You Think You Can Dance, Gianinni moved to Los Angeles and toured internationally with major artists and productions, including Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kanye West, Paula Abdul, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Shakira.

His work as a filmmaker combines cinematic scale, physical storytelling, genre, and emotion. His film The Border won the Grand Jury Prize at CFC 2021 in Los Angeles and got him a development deal with Shout! Studios.

Gianinni recently completed principal photography in Greece on his narrative feature directorial debut, CHRONOS, an independent fantasy-adventure film starring Tongayi Chirisa and Anirudh Pisharody.
